Previously on the CoreXchange blog, we discussed “burstable billing”—commonly implemented in the form of “95th percentile billing”— a useful method that makes it possible to accurately set up your billing structure around a committed bandwidth usage level, avoiding extra fees for unplanned usage “bursts” over that threshold that might occur from time to time. It’s ideal for any business that needs high amounts of bandwidth and is prone to occasional periods of irregularly high traffic.  Applications can include:  hosting, database projects, testbeds and other high bandwidth applications.
 
But since the primary goal of CoreXchange is to deliver the fastest and most reliable network connectivity at an accessible price point for any business, we offer another bandwidth billing structure for our customers with certain bandwidth needs: unmetered bandwidth billing.
 
Unmetered bandwidth gives customers an easier option to transfer as much data as needed each month within the set amount of bandwidth ordered.  You can send and receive as much data as needed throughout the month.  The pipe size is set by the bandwidth plan amount you purchase.  Total monthly usage is unlimited.  CoreXchange does not throttle connection speeds during periods of unusually high bandwidth usage within this set bandwidth amount.
