Free Colocation Space and Power Offer through CoreXchange Configurator
May 13, 2008
CoreXchangeSM today announced a new offer of free colocation space and power with minimum order of 80 Mb of bandwidth per month accessible through its ConfiguratorSM pricing tool. The patent-pending Configurator, located on the CoreXchange website at www.configurator.corexchange.com, allows enterprise customers and resellers the ability to generate an instant quote for multi-homed connectivity consisting of multiple Tier-1 carriers through one source – CoreXchange.

Customers selecting this newly released Configurator package will receive one year of free colocation space (up to a full cabinet) and up to 20 amps (110v) primary power with contracts for bandwidth of 80 Mb per month or more.

“CoreXchange manages a highly sophisticated network that delivers the speed and performance required for high capacity bandwidth applications such as video streaming and gaming,” said Julia Morgan, sales executive with CoreXchange. “This new offer allows enterprise businesses to easily transition to our data center and take advantage of our advanced network offering.” All CoreXchange customers receive multi-homed connectivity providing one-hop access to multiple Tier-1 backbones.

With one of the most talented technical teams in the network services industry and the latest next-generation network (NGN) core routing and switching equipment, CoreXchange has established itself as a leading provider of “network-centric” services. CoreXchange managed bandwidth services allow IT enterprises to outsource with confidence the complex, capital-intensive task of connecting directly to multiple Tier-1 backbone providers. With this multi-homed solution, customer applications benefit from high performance, low latency and the increased reliability associated with multiple paths to any Internet destination. Traffic can easily route around traffic spikes or dDOS attacks on other parts of the Internet. Latency-sensitive applications—such as streaming audio and video, gaming and VoIP— can utilize the most direct path to all the major carrier networks. CoreXchange’s CoreControlSM customer portal provides traffic graphs, billing detail and overall network health reporting so that customers can effectively manage their network connectivity and costs.

Through the CoreXchange Configurator, customers select their own combination of carriers, bandwidth, cap level and terms as the price is adjusted in real time. This customization ultimately provides a network that is unique to individual requirements and preferences. The quote process for a mesh of Tier-1 carriers typically involves months of negotiations but takes CoreXchange customers only seconds to generate quotes through the online Configurator tool.
