Peter has 20 years of experience in the network services space, primarily as a founder of two highly successful service providers. He was the founding chairman and CEO of The Planet, a leading web hosting provider that was recently acquired by a Menlo Park-based private equity firm, GI Partners. Previously, Peter founded National Knowledge Networks, Inc., a regional Internet service provider that he grew from a start-up company into a venture with $5 million in revenues in less than three years. In 1998, the company was among the first to be acquired by Verio and was part of a landmark IPO and subsequent sale to NTT in October 2000. Prior to founding National Knowledge Networks, Peter was a chief telecommunications and data communications engineer with GTE. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology.
Julia built and managed the sales and marketing organization for CoreXchange for six years and was later promoted to President and COO where she oversees all company initiatives and operations. She has more than twelve years of hosting and IT communications experience with expertise in business development including sales, sales management, marketing and product development. Prior to CoreXchange, Julia developed her own consulting company, Connection Select Corporation, where she was successful in saving her clients millions of dollars and expedited their time to market by leveraging her knowledge and resources in the market. She brokered technology solutions in the areas of data center development, colocation, managed servers, hardware procurement, professional services, connectivity, disaster recovery and RFP creation and management. Previously, as vice president for The Planet, Julia oversaw all Sales and Marketing functions including Enterprise Colocation and Dedicated Server Sales, advertising, promotion and reseller alliances. She was successful in growing sales from $4M to $60M by generating revenue from new customer acquisitions, existing accounts, VARS and referral partnerships with established technology leaders. Julia was instrumental in the development of new product lines and ancillary services, which ultimately sustained customer loyalty. Prior to joining The Planet, Julia held sales and marketing positions at Chancellor Marketing Group (now Clear Channel Communications). She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas.
George was senior vice president and general counsel of The Planet. He brings 16 years of corporate development and in-house legal experience in the network services industry, where he has significant experience working with high-growth technology companies. He previously held in-house legal and corporate development positions at Onramp Technologies and later at Verio, where he helped manage the merger of the two companies and the initial public offering of Verio in April 1998. George received a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Michael has over 16 years of experience in the telecommunications and computer industry as a senior technologist and business professional. He has served as a founding principal of Ascend Partners, an investment banking firm focused on strategic advisory services for established technology companies. Previously, Michael was director of telecommunications and special projects for NTT/Verio, where he directed the consolidation of operations, networks and systems of 50 private ISP acquisitions. He also had responsibility for NTT/Verio's metro aggregation networks. Michael was also a founder and director for OnRamp Technologies, a regional ISP, where he headed the network design, procurement, implementation and operation of its IP network. Previously, Michael developed embedded hardware and software systems architecture for several telecommunications and government laboratories including Harris Controls and the Department of Energy's Superconducting Supercollider High Energy Physics Laboratory in Dallas Texas. Michael graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering.
Ed has more than 26 years experience in the network services and telecommunications industry. He joined CoreXchange from Ascend Partners, where he served as managing director and co-founder, advising companies in the networking space on mergers and acquisitions activities and financing strategies. Ed previously was the founder of Global Network Solutions, a professional services company that merged with OpSource, Inc. He also served in senior management roles with Global Network Solutions, Cable and Wireless, Exodus Communications, and Global Internet/Cohesive Systems. Ed holds a BS degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and an M.B.A. from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
Chris, an ISP and networking industry veteran, serves as Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Networking for CoreXchange. Previously, Chris was vice president of network engineering for The Planet, overseeing the implementation of a 100 gigabit network infrastructure. He previously managed Verio's national IT network and security infrastructure. Chris served in critical IT and network engineering leadership roles since Verio's inception, having joined the company after its foundational acquisition of OnRamp Technologies in 1995. At OnRamp, Chris played a major role in growing OnRamp from a start-up in the early days of commercial ISPs to a nationally-recognized networking industry leader. He obtained an undergraduate in mathematics and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Thanh serves as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing support services, provisioning and data center operations. Thanh is a Red Hat Certified Engineer with over 13 years of experience in Data Space Management, previously working for top Dallas Data Centers, Rackspace Hosting, The Planet and Verio. Thanh has demonstrated a proven track record in facilities, operations, customer support, systems administration, product development and sales. His experience ranges from working with facilities engineering to ensure uptime; working with finance and operations to provide affordable data center solutions; sales to plan for ample capacity and requirements for future growth; and helping customers with migration plans and support issues. His commitment and natural leadership abilities allowed him to successfully lead the development and sales efforts for the company’s launch of ColoUnlimited.com offering the industry’s first instant pricing and online ordering of colocation solutions. Thanh’s diverse skillset gives him the ability to balance the needs of operations, sales and support to ensure a quality product by delivering expectations.
Trey has been with CoreXchange for over four years being promoted internally several times. Trey began in August 2008 as a Sr. Account Executive and quickly was promoted to Account Director in 2010 after successfully growing the customer base, demonstrating excellent product knowledge and providing outstanding customer support. Recently promoted to VP of Sales, Trey will continue to utilize his expertise to sell colocation and network services out of the company’s Dallas Infomart data center and the CoreXchange Connection, the company’s SSAE 15 Type II audited data centers. Prior to working for CoreXchange, Trey served as the President of Blue Wireless & Data Inc. and in Business Development for DSG Technology. Trey graduated from Oklahoma City University with his Bachelors in Philosophy and Humanities.
Kristin has directed the company’s marketing efforts since the company's inception. She was instrumental in the implementation of the new website and launch of online ordering of enterprise-level colocation solutions. Kristin previously served as Director of Marketing at The Planet, a worldwide leader in IT Hosting. There she created marketing programs for the company’s industry leading hosting brands while responsible for advertising, website development, product launches, promotions and public relations. Kristin also worked for Sprint PCS as their Advertising and PR Manager where she directed sales promotions for the launch of the company’s digital mobile phone services. Prior to Sprint PCS, Kristin was Marketing Manager and Sales Executive for an information technology company which built the online database and search interface for the many of the world’s leading newspapers and industry publications. Kristin’s education includes a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Oklahoma as well as a master's degree in leadership and management from Oklahoma City University.
